Clear Just Added More TSA PreCheck Enrollment Locations — What to Know
Biometric company Clear is expanding its TSA PreCheck enrollment locations once again, making it even more convenient for travelers to sign up for this expedited airport security program.
New Enrollment Locations
Following an earlier expansion this month, Clear has added seven more enrollment locations in airports across the contiguous United States and in Puerto Rico. Travelers can now enroll in TSA PreCheck with Clear at the following airports:
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
- Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD)
- San José Mineta International Airport (SJC)
- Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)
With these additions, Clear now operates TSA PreCheck enrollment locations in 27 airports across the country.
Benefits of TSA PreCheck
Once enrolled in TSA PreCheck, travelers enjoy a streamlined security experience where they can:
- Leave their shoes, belts, and light jackets on.
- Keep their laptops and liquids in their bags.
- Accompany children 12 and younger through the PreCheck lane.
- Allow teenagers aged 13 to 17 to use the PreCheck lane if they are traveling on the same reservation and have the TSA PreCheck mark on their boarding pass.
Enrollment and Renewal Costs
Clear, authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to handle TSA PreCheck enrollments and renewals, offers the following pricing:
- In-person renewal: $77.95
- Online renewal: $68.95
Clear Membership
In addition to TSA PreCheck, Clear offers its own membership program, which allows travelers to use a separate security line at airport checkpoints by identifying themselves through biometric scans (fingerprint or eye scans). Key details include:
- Clear Plus membership: $189 per year.
- Discounts: Several credit cards may reimburse or discount the Clear Plus membership fee.
- Bundled pricing: Clear offers a combined membership for Clear Plus and TSA PreCheck at a total cost of $190.95.
